There's load of Irish and English Pubs & Bars in Barcelona. Most of them you can find close to the main strip Las Ramblas. Youl'll find bars that charge 6€ for a pint of Heineken to Bars in Barcelona charging 2€ for a pint during Happy Hour.
On calle(spanish for street) Ferran(which is just of the rambla) you'll find a few Pubs, a bit overpriced but otherwise okay,
If you feel adventureous you could always take the metro(allthough getting a taxi is quite cheap) to Sagrada Familia(big impressive church) for some sightseing and then go the Irish bar(Michael Collins) just next to it for some live music. They've got a nice mixture of locals and tourists. They're open til 3am every night.
